(IFIP9.4 Conference, 22-24 May 2017, Yogyakarta, Indonesia)
Track chair
This track will offer a pathway for new authors to join the Social Implications of Computers in Developing Countries research community. The track will follow a similar format to those in the previous two Working Group 9.4 conferences (Kathmandu and Jamaica). The track will accept full papers across the range of topic areas within the conference theme i.e., ICTs for promoting social harmony: Towards a sustainable information society. The papers will be reviewed by suitably qualified reviewers identified by the track chairs. The submitted papers must not have been previously published. This track will offer (an optional) submission deadline two months earlier than the main conference, in order to provide a preliminary round of formative feedback on submissions to authors prior to the main submission deadline. Submissions should be in the form of full papers which, if accepted, will be included in the conference proceedings. Authors of accepted papers will be invited to submit to a Special Issue of the Electronic Journal of Information Systems in Developing Countries (EJISDC).
