IPID Seminar on ‘Global initiatives on connecting the unconnected: Myth and reality’
Date & Venue: November 11, 2011, Örebro University, HSF (Forumhuset) A seminar on ‘Global initiatives on connecting the unconnected: Myth and reality’ was held on November 11, 2011 at the Swedish Business School (Informatics) of Örebro University. The focuses of the seminar were how global initiatives on ICT4D were addressing the needs of poor people, how the challenges and development effects had been evident so far, and how effectively ICT could be applied in the development agenda. Åke Grönlund, Professor of Informatics at Örebro University and Chair of AIS Special Interest Group on Electronic Government (SIGeGov) presided over the seminar.
